| Commint Inc. started business in Houston, Texas, in 1983 as a full service hardware and software dealer. Areas of focus included Engineering Applications, Project Management, CADCAM, and financial Systems. Beginning in the fall of 1983, Commint became a regional dealer for Primavera Systems and was immediately successful with a viable and receptive market in the process industries around Houston. By adding experienced project management professionals to its staff, Commint continued to grow by offering training, professional services and consulting. CTS was formed to specifically address these needs.
In 1991, Commint expanded by placing an office in the Dallas area. Both locations now support full classroom training facilities with computerized classrooms. Our trainers are experienced project management professionals who not only know the software tools, but also know project management requirements and how to demonstrate "real world" results to customers.
Soon after expanding to Dallas, TexPro, Inc, Contract Services were offered to a growing and diverse customer base. This started with providing qualified schedulers and project managers to our customers for critical plant turnarounds, retooling and maintenance projects. In these projects, being late even on hour can cost thousands, if not millions of dollars. Our customers appreciate the experience and skill of our personnel. We also opened the Kansas City office in Nov. 1997, giving more customers closer access to our facilities.
Commint has continued to add expertise and meet the increasingly complex needs of our customers. In 1999, Commint Inc. added integration services to the professional services offered. Personnel received new training in the Prospero integration tool, now owned by Vignette, Inc. Commint has also recently made some strategic partnership agreements to expand our capabilities. Commint has performed many integrations, including two Prospero integrations for the state of Texas.
